Adopt a Classroom - Grades 3-5

Because of recent budget cuts, classrooms need donation of time, money, or goods.

We are implementing an "Adopt a Classroom" program where people can donate directly to a class in need.  Here is a list of classrooms and their wish lists of items they are looking to receive or be able to fund.

Checks can be made payable to Hood Canal Education Foundation. Our mailing address is located here.  Please indicate on your check's memo line which class you wish to support.  If no class is indicated, it will be allocated based on need.  You can also donate using PayPal which accepts credit card payments. PayPal has a memo area that you can add a message if you want to designate where your funds are to be allocated.

Thank you for supporting our teachers!

Ms. Martin's Wish List for 3rd Grade

Here is a wish list of things I would like for my classroom:

flat screen t.v. mounted on a wall

snacks for the entire year -- crackers, pretzels, animal cookies, fruit snacks

prize box items such as small toys, markers, art supplies

field trip to Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle

more classroom computers

small whiteboards and whiteboard markers

Ms. Coker's Wish List for 3rd/4th Grade

Flat screen TV that would be mounted in the classroom.

Computers - I now only have one working student computer in my class.

Packages of wide ruled notebook paper

Pilot G-2 07 pens in a variety of colors.  I use these up by the dozen.

Fancy pencils

Incentives for my shopping day - things like toys, food, etc.

Charts and stickers – these are a specialty item I get from a school supply store

Student scissors

I would like to see the fourth grade cultural trip continue.  In the past we have gone to the Seattle Children's Theater and ridden on the monorail.  There is the cost of bus, ferry, monorail, and approximately $8 per student for a ticket. Total trip is approximately $500.

.  The fourth grade also takes a trip to the WA State Museum in Tacoma as well as the Capitol Building in Olympia.

The third grade trip is to the Woodland Park Zoo.

Ms. Gray's Wish List for 3rd/4th Grade

Current globes of world (2)

A model of the earth and the moon and the sun to demonstrate how they revolve

A networkable printer so that we can print in the classroom

Printer cartridges for the printer

Keyboarding software for kids – 6 copies or a site license for that many computers

A book of rules for basic playground games like hopscotch, four square, tether ball and jump rope rhymes

Someone to teach me and/or my kids how to do power point presentations

Several people to teach my students to knit or crochet before Christmas.

The following would not be for my classroom but rather for the 4th grade regardless of who is teaching that grade.

Funding for the annual 4th grade cultural enrichment field trip

This includes admission tickets, bus and driver costs

Generally $500 would cover tickets to the Seattle Children’s Theatre
